“You are invited to the Upper Nehalem Watershed Council's 2021 Annual Meeting. Please join us Thursday, June 24th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at Vernonia Grange or via Zoom.
We are excited to have Aaron Groth, Regional Fire Specialist for the Coast with Oregon State University's Forestry and Natural Resources Extension Fire Program bring us his presentation:
Coastal Fire History;
The Tillamook Burn, The Upper Nehalem, and Preparing for Fire
In a special presentation, Aaron will discuss coastal Oregon’s fire history, recent fires, and steps you can take to protect your community, family, home, and property, followed by a Q&A session with representatives from Vernonia Rural Fire Protection District, Mist-Birkenfeld Fire Protection District, and the Oregon Department of Forestry.
